parc adfer meet the buyer event

Companies interested in the business opportunities being unlocked by Parc Adfer, are invited to attend a Meet the Buyer event organised by Wheelabrator Technologies.

Parc Adfer, a new energy recovery facility, will be developed on the Deeside Industrial Park as part of the North Wales Residual Waste Treatment Project. It is now moving towards its three year construction phase, which will start at the end of 2016.

Wheelabrator has selected CNIM Group as our EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) contractor. They in turn have appointed Clugston Construction to lead the civil engineering works. Together CNIM and Clugston form our chosen delivery partners for the Parc Adfer project.

CNIM Group is a leading European specialist for the design and construction of power plants and has delivered 163 energy-from-waste plants all over the world.

UK-based Clugston Construction is a building and civil engineering contractor which has built a reputation for safely delivering a wide variety of services and projects, many of them high profile award winning schemes for national and international clients.

To help businesses find out more about the opportunities on offer to potential supply chain partners working across Deeside and North Wales, Wheelabrator will hold a Meet the Buyer on Thursday 3 November in the Main Hall of the new Sixth Form Centre at Coleg Cambria, Kelsterton Road, Connah’s Quay.

The day will be split into three separate sessions:

7.30am– 10am – Construction and civil engineering

11am – 3pm – Ancillary, on and off-site support services

4pm – 6.30pm – Construction and civil engineering

Delegates will have the opportunity to meet individually with representatives of the three host companies to discuss their skills and experience, while finding out more about the likely approach to procurement for the Parc Adfer supply chain.

View the range of supply chain opportunities required in the construction phase.

Please register your interest before Friday 28 October.
