A ‘meet the buyer’ event is being held for firms interested in supply chain opportunities created by a major new energy-recovery facility.
Parc Adfer will be built on the Deeside Industrial Park, and will take around three years to construct, with work set to begin next year.
The project will create various supply chain opportunities for other businesses. And the company behind the scheme – Wheelabrator Technologies Inc – is staging a one-day event for potential suppliers who want to find out more.
The day will be split into three sessions – two of them focussed on construction and civil engineering opportunities, and the other on ancillary and site-support services.
Delegates will get the chance to meet representatives from Wheelabrator, as well as its partners companies – Sisk Group and Baumgarte Boiler Systems.
They’ll be able to talk about the services they provide, and learn more about the procurement process.
The event is being held as part of Flintshire Business Week and takes place at Coleg Cambria in Connah’s Quay on Tuesday, October 20.
