jobs, skills and training – fbw 16

Looking for a job? Maybe it’s time for a new career?

As part of Flintshire Business Week, there will be a jobs fair on Wednesday, September 28 at the civic Centre, Connah’s Quay providing information and advice about local job opportunities.

Knowing where to start when looking for a new job can be tricky. Especially when you don’t have the info you need.

Communities First Flintshire, Jobcentre Plus and Careers Wales are bringing together local employers to discuss the opportunities that are currently available.

There will also be practical advice on how to find a job, including workshops on interview techniques, creating a CV and writing job applications.

Representatives from Communities First Enterprise Club will be on hand, promoting entrepreneurial opportunities in Flintshire and the support available for those wanting to start their own business.

Councillor Derek Butler, Cabinet Member for Economic Development said: "Our employment and information fair offers advice to anyone searching for a job or wanting to talk to advisors about skills and training.

"Flintshire County Council is committed to creating opportunities for people to gain employability skills to ensure they are qualified for the jobs they want to pursue."
